CREATIVITY AS METHOD, NOT SUBJECT.
INVESTIGATING THE EMBODIED, RELATIONAL AND CULTURAL CONDITIONS OF THE Creative ACT.

ETHOS
Born to Create is a cultural platform that investigates creativity as a lived, embodied, and relational practice. We move beyond the aesthetics of the finished object to document the creative process as it unfolds across studios, communities, and cultural systems. By centering the "threshold state", the productive uncertainty of not-knowing, we utilize creativity as a primary methodology for exploring human agency, somatic knowledge, and the ethics of making.
MISSION
Our work exists to facilitate a deeper understanding of the human condition by dismantling the myth of the isolated genius. Through rigorous publications, artist profiles, and discursive projects, we archive the evolution of ideas within their specific systemic contexts. By prioritizing process over product, we provide a platform for collective inquiry and the ethical reclamation of authorship.
FUTURE
We are evolving from a digital archive into a physical and temporal sanctuary, a dedicated site for extended research. By bridging the gap between digital dialogue and physical presence, we aim to become a global node for practitioners to navigate liminality, challenge institutional constraints, and cultivate new frameworks for making. We envision a future where creativity is recognized not as an industry of exclusivity, but as a restorative force for social transformation.
FOUNDING NOTE
Born to Create was initiated by Lucie Blaze as a response to the institutional and social pressures that often isolate the creative practitioner. By shifting the focus from the "finished object" to the "lived process," the platform seeks to archive the movements of choice, constraint, and refusal that define our cultural landscape.
Lucie’s practice is informed by a multidisciplinary academic foundation in the Theory and History of Art (Czech Republic), Visual Communication (France), and Art Therapy and Psychosynthesis (Aotearoa New Zealand). Currently, she is extending this research through studies in Performance and Cultural Practices (Hungary).
This intersection of historical analysis, communication design, and psychological inquiry drives Born to Create’s mission to explore creativity as a vital tool for both individual agency and collective restoration.
