CREATIVITY & HEALING
5 DECEMBER 2022, 6.30 PM TO 8 PM, 6 NIXON STREET, AUCKLAND
This dialogue examines the role of art-making as a tool for the reintegration of the self. Creativity & Healing explores the transformative capacity of creative expression to bridge the gap between trauma and narrative. Rather than approaching art as a passive reflection of health, the discussion analyzes it as an active site of reclamation. We investigate how the discipline of a creative practice serves to recalibrate the artist’s relationship with their history, positioning "healing" as a byproduct of rigorous, honest engagement with one's medium.
