Tawakkol Karman
Tawakkol Karman, known as the "Mother of the Revolution," is a Yemeni journalist and human rights activist who challenged societal norms through her fervent advocacy for women's rights, democracy, and freedom of expression.
She played a prominent role in the Arab Spring uprising in Yemen, calling for political reform, an end to corruption, and equal opportunities for women. Tawakkol Karman co-founded the group Women Journalists Without Chains, using her platform to address issues such as press freedom, gender equality, and human rights.
